Inventor Paul Vo, of Asheville, N.C., is hoping to even out the playing board with Vo-96 — an acoustic guitar synthesizer that modulates and controls the vibrations you generate when you pluck the strings. Vo launched a Kickstarter campaign for the contraption last week

"I've had this idea for many years," he told Mashable, "and, honestly, I don't believe there are any other similar products out there right now."
