'Cut the Rope: Time Travel' Takes Om Nom to Ancestors' Worlds

If you can't stop feeding one little green monster candy, you can get another fix Thursday as Cut the Rope: Time Travel hits iOS and Android.

The second follow-up to ZeptoLab's incredibly successful Cut the Rope, which has been downloaded more than 300 million times, sends the little green monster Om Nom into different eras in the past to meet his ancestors and eat more candy. There are six worlds at launch, and in each the player must successfully cut ropes and avoid obstacles to make the candy fall into both Om Nom's and his ancestors' mouths.

Each of the Om Nom monsters you encounter is appropriately dressed in period gear. ZeptoLab co-founders and brothers Semyon and Efim Voinov said the idea came to them after working on Cut the Rope toys for Burger King last year, and they wanted to figure out ways to expand the Om Nom character.
