TomTom Steps Into Fitness With GPS Smart Watches

While the big tech companies battle it out for smart watch supremacy, TomTom, the company known for GPS mapping and driving directions, is making inroads in the fitness space

The company, which previously partnered with Nike to make the SportWatch GPS, is introducing a line of GPS sport watches aimed at runners and outdoor enthusiasts.

TomTom's Tom Murray tells Mashable the Runner GPS Watch is "designed to help people get info at a glance as they're moving." He says that's something that's been requested time and again, and not possible with the watches currently on the market. "People just want info, a means to an end," he says.
