Nintendo 3DS to Get New 'Zelda,' 'Yoshi's Island' and 'Mario Party' Titles

A new Legend of Zelda game set in the same universe as the Super Nintendo classic A Link to the Past is coming to Nintendo's 3DS this holiday season. It was one of a slew of new games announced during Wednesday morning's online presentation from Nintendo.

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata spent most of the presentation highlighting new titles coming to the Nintendo handheld later this year. Among the newly announced titles was a new Mario Party game, Nintendo's multiplayer party-game franchise featuring popular Nintendo characters. The game is the first time Mario Party has ever traveled to a handheld system, and it will incorporate features specific to the 3DS for its minigames. The game will be out during the holiday season.
