Ford Apologizes For Ad in India Featuring the Kardashians in Bondage Gear

Ford

Ford and its ad agency have apologized for an ad in India showing the Kardashians in bondage gear and another featuring former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi driving three scantily clad women who are similarly bound and gagged.

The Kardashians ad featured Paris Hilton driving with the three sisters tied up in the back. The ad with Berlusconi shows him flashing the peace sign. The ads were meant to underscore the taglnie, "Leave Your Worries Behind."

Ford issued a statement to CNBC apologizing for the ads:

We deeply regret this incident and agree with our agency partners that it should have never happened. The posters are contrary to the standards of professionalism and decency within Ford and our agency partners. Together with our partners, we are reviewing approval and oversight processes to help ensure nothing like this ever happens again.
