As they reach the stage when theyre approaching profitability, fast-growth companies have a choice: they can either focus on profits - or on market share and scale. Our preference is that they continue to focus on growth. Although this, in turn, stimulates economic activity and employment in the wider economy, thats not the main reason we favour this route.
