SXSW 2013’s Best Hacks

AUSTIN — At its core, SXSW 2013 is all about creativity and pushing the boundaries of tech, music and film. There was evidence of this all over the show, but maybe nowhere more so than the Creator Tent, which was nestled right behind the huge convention center.

Inside, we found researchers, DIYers, scientists, gadget freaks and children, either showcasing their own projects or getting some serious hands-on time with others.

We walked the dirt floor and spoke with as many of them as we could, and did our best to experience these hacks — which included musical bananas and lots of 3D-printed objects — first hand. Technology is an amazing thing.
