Samsung's Smart Scroll Is Not Eye Tracking

Eyetracking

Following weeks of rumors that the Samsung Galaxy S 4 smartphone would come with a few high-tech eye-sensitive features, the company announced on Thursday Smart Scroll and Smart Pause, which aim to take the reading and video-watching experience to a whole new level

Samsung Smart Scroll lets you scroll browsers and emails without touching the screen. But despite rumors that the feature would include eye tracking, it instead relies on facial recognition and tilt

By recognizing your face as you look at the screen and sensing movements of the wrists, the pages scroll up and down. As you near the bottom of the screen, more paragraphs of text will appear.
