6 Questions With Prezi Co-Founder Peter Arvai
AUSTIN — Sick of PowerPoints? You might want to try Prezi, a spatial, mind-map inspired presentation format used by 75% of Fortune 500 companies. The company was founded by Peter Arvai, Peter Halácsy and Adam Somlai-Fischer. The latter two were working on a "zooming presentation" concept in 2008, and Arvai met with them to talk shop. "I was so inspired by the idea that we could help share world changing stories that I convinced them to quit their full-time jobs, and we started working on the Prezi concept immediately," says Arvai
Prezi encourages collaborative ideation and works as a virtual whiteboard so that individuals and companies can share and generate ideas. The platform can also be used in a rap song to summarize SXSW keynotes, as demonstrated by rapper Saul Paul over the past few days
