If you live in Seattle, however, you might need to stick with your boring, non-augmented-reality shades for a night out at the bars

The 5 Point Cafe, a dive bar and restaurant based in the Emerald City, posted a message on its Facebook page last week saying that the smart specs — pictured below, being worn by Google Senior Vice President of Engineering Vic Gundotra — are not allowed in the building once they hit the market:

"For the record, The 5 Point is the first Seattle business to ban in advance Google Glasses. And ass kickings will be encouraged for violators."
