It's the cookie-cutter Oscars acceptance speeches like that which have made the orchestra cut-off and your DVR absolute necessities when tuning into award shows.

But at this year's Academy Awards, the stars managed to bring some creativity (and jokes!) to the podium that made us actually enjoy the few minutes of hearing people who aren't famous be thanked by the people they made famous.
