LG Acquires WebOS and Other News You Need to Know

Welcome to this morning's edition of "First To Know," a series in which we keep you in the know on what's happening in the digital world.

We've got our eye on three particular stories this morning, including a report that LG will acquire HP's webOS to be used in the company's smart TVs. Barnes and Noble's Nook sales took a hit in the Q3, and the company is expected to put less focus on its digital initiatives.
