How Skylanders Creates a Superfan Economy

To call Activisions Skylanders franchise a success is an understatement. In just under a year and a half, the series two games, Skylanders: Spyros Adventure and Skylanders: Giants, have raked in $1 billion in sales worldwide. They remain both the top-selling action figure series and childrens game out now. And with this months announcement of the next installment, Skylanders: SWAP Force, Activision has the potential to solidify the games as some of their best-selling in history.
