Ex-Foursquare Designers Release Social Calendar App for iPhone

Pierre Valade and Jeremy Le Van met while working as user experience designers at Foursquare and decided to partner up on a couple side projects. One area they were interested in was improving calendar applications, but they didn't want to devote themselves to anything too time-consuming -- after all, working as part of Foursquare's small design team takes up enough time as is.

So rather than create a full-fledged app, they set their sights on something a little simpler: a daily email digest that would collect events, birthdays and contact information from other platforms like Facebook, Google Calendar, EventBrite and LinkedIn.
