Tim Cook: Apple Will Never Make a Crappy Product

Plenty of people like to speculate on the products that Apple will never make, whether it's a larger iPhone or a smaller iPad, but according to CEO Tim Cook, there's only one thing Apple would never do: put out a dud.

"The only thing we'll never do is make a crappy product," Cook said during a wide-ranging interview at the Goldman Sach's annual Technology and Internet Conference on Tuesday. "That's the only religion that we have, that we must do something great, something bold, something ambitious."

Some Maps users might disagree with that statement, but it was part of Cook's larger effort throughout the event to refute skeptics who suggest that Apple's best days may be behind it.…
