Sports Illustrated Launches Daily News Site for Swimsuit

Sports Illustrated's annual Swimsuit issue hits newsstands this week, accompanied by a fresh profusion of photos, videos and digital interactives across SI's digital platforms. But Swimsuit won't end there. On Monday, SI is launching a dedicated news site for the franchise, extending it into a 365-day-a-year operation.

The news site, which SI describes alternatively as a "daily channel" and a "blog," will live on its own domain at swimdaily.com. There, visitors can expect to find content "devoted to the lifestyle of Swimsuit," MJ Day, senior editor of Swimsuit, told Mashable in an interview at SI's offices last week.
