EA Removes Links to Weapons Makers From Medal of Honor Website


Until recently, players of EA Games' first-person shooter title "Medal of Honor" were able to browse and buy real weapons by following links from the game's website.

Now, in the wake of criticism following the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School, the company has removed these links, though its partnerships with weapons manufacturers are still highlighted.

The links directed users to weapons maker's websites where you could purchase similar -- or in some cases, the same -- weapons used in the video game.
