Nokia and RIM Enter Patent License Agreement


Nokia and RIM have resolved all their patent disputes and agreed to enter a new patent license agreement, Nokia has announced.

The specifics of the agreement were not disclosed, but it includes a one-time payment and ongoing payments, all from RIM to Nokia.

"We are very pleased to have resolved our patent licensing issues with RIM and reached this new agreement, while maintaining Nokia's ability to protect our unique product differentiation," said Paul Melin, chief intellectual property officer at Nokia.
