Flipboard: Now Available on Your Android Tablet

Just in time for the holidays, Flipboard announced that its magazine-style app -- which displays feeds from major social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as professional content producers like Vanity Fair and The New York Times -- is now available for large-format Android tablets.

The free app will work on any Android tablet 7 inches or larger, including Samsung's Galaxy Tab series and Google's Nexus 10.

The launch comes six months after Flipboard released an edition for Android smartphones and smaller tablets like the Kindle Fire, and two-and-a-half years after it initial arrival on the iPad.
