Google Helps Bring More Ancient Texts Online: Book Deuteronomy, Genesis And More Offered In New Dead Sea Scrolls Digital Library

Genesis Chapter 1 - photo credit Shai Halevi, courtesy of Israel Antiquities AuthorityContinuing its work to help scan and preserve ancient texts, this morning, Google announced that it has been working with theIsrael Antiquities Authority to bring a large collection of biblical manuscript fragments online, including the earliest known copies of theBook of Deuteronomy, which includes theTen Commandments; part of Chapter 1 of theBook of Genesis, and hundreds more 2,000-year old texts focused on the life and teachings of Jesus.
