Pacific Rim Trailer Pits Giant Robots Vs. Monsters

The official trailer for Guillermo del Toro's upcoming sci-fi flick, the Pacific Rim, is now available for your viewing pleasure.

The movie revolves around an alien invasion that comes from an unexpected place -- an inter-dimensional portal in the depths of the ocean. To fight the enormous alien monsters, humans have created giant robots, piloted simultaneously by two humans connected with a neural link.

Guillermo del Toro is best known for the Hellboy franchise and the grim Spanish fantasy film Pan's Labyrinth. Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba and Rinko Kikuchi star in the movie which opens in July 2013.
