Lenovos X1 Carbon Ultrabook Gets the Touchscreen Treatment


Lenovo has launched a touchscreen variant of its business-oriented ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook, dubbed the X1 Carbon Touch.

Besides the most obvious change, the touchscreen, the new Windows 8 device is almost the same as its predecessor -- a 14-inch, 1,600 x 900 pixel screen, 3G, an Ivy Bridge chipset, SSD and 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM are all snugged inside a carbon fiber chassis.

The main difference is in the price, which starts at $1,399 for the X1 Carbon Touch. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon originally also cost that amount, but has since dropped to $1,249.
