Nook Video Comes to the UK, Brings UltraViolet Support


Barnes & Noble has launched Nook Video in the UK, with support for the UltraViolet digital locker, a first in the country.

Users of Nook HD and Nook HD+ will be able to watch movies and TV shows in standard and HD format. Barnes & Noble also promises Nook Video content will soon become available on other devices via free Nook Video apps.

And, via the cloud-based UltraViolet, consumers will be able to buy one copy of a movie or TV show and have access to it anywhere else.

On the content side, the company has partnered with several major film and TV studios, including BBC Worldwide, HBO, NBCUniversal, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, STARZ, and Warner Bros. Entertainment.
