PBS Uses Its Imagination to Remix Reading Rainbow


PBS revealed the latest YouTube remix in its series, and it might be the best one yet ... but don't take my word for it.

Reading Rainbow aired for 40 years, but the show is still teaching kids each year how to read, through reruns and the digital relaunch as an iPad app in 2012. Host and executive producer LeVar Burton would pick a different theme for each episode. The remix shows a couple, like maps or inventions.

The series of remixed PBS icons, such as Mister Rogers, was produced by Symphony of Science's John D. Boswell (a.k.a., melodysheep). It is part of the PBS Digital Studios YouTube channel.
