Tumblr Breaks Into Top 10 U.S. Sites

Tumblr is now one of the top 10 most-trafficked websites in the U.S. and has a worldwide audience of nearly 170 million people.

Tumblr founder and CEO David Karp posted the news on the company's staff blog Monday, siting Quantcast data.

"This isnt meant to be a brag -- though you should definitely try our new Android and iOS apps if you havent yet -- but a credit to all of your brilliant creative efforts," Karp wrote. "You guys have earned an audience bigger than the biggest TV networks, and you continue to make some of the most thought provoking, insightful, inspiring, funny, diverse, and compelling content being created today."
