iMessage and FaceTime Back Up, Apple Users Complain About Outage on Twitter


Apple users took to Twitter to vent their frustrations over iMessage and FaceTime service interruptions.

iOS devices and Macs with OSX 10.6.6 or higher experienced a nearly five-hour outage, from 11:45 a.m. to 4:32 p.m. PT (2:45 to 7:45 p.m. ET) after the Cupertino, Calif. company's instant messenger service and video-calling app suffered from downtime.

Apple confirmed the outages on its status page around 1:30 p.m. PT (4:30 p.m. ET), saying that some "users are unable to use" use iMessage or place FaceTime calls.
