Verified Gaza Strike Map Separates Fact From Fiction

Reports of airstrikes and explosions in a war zone can be conflicting, especially in a war that is being fought in the Social Media trenches as well as on the ground.

In the wake of the assassination of Hamas leader Ahmed al-Jabari on Nov. 14, violent conflict between Israel and Gaza has re-escalated as Hamas militants continue to fire rockets toward Israel and the Israel Defense Forces conduct airstrikes against the strip.

To catalog the fighting, The Guardian has created a crowdsourced Google Map laying out all the "verified incidents" since the beginning of Operation Pillar of Defense.
