Netflix and Nintendo TVii Apps Delayed into December on Wii U


In a press release regarding the Wii U launch Sunday, Nintendo dropped a very important piece of information: the connected TV application known as Nintendo TVii and its associated apps would not be arriving to the console until December.

Included in that list of applications is Netflix, Amazon Instant Video and Hulu Plus. The press release said those applications would arrive "in the coming weeks" with no hard date set.

Nintendo TVii is a free application designed to incorporate with the user's cable box, a TiVo DVR and all major streaming services such as Netflix into one central hub. At press events earlier this year, Nintendo representatives said the software would be bundled…
