New Banjo App Aims To Become A True Browser For Location, A Much Bigger Opportunity
Location based apps like Sonar and Highlight have been largely obsessed with what is around us right now. Ban.jo played in this space, but also allowed users to surface what was going on elsewhere. Thus it it has become a useful tool for news organisations trying to work out what is going on on the ground in a particular city. The iPhone and Android app was a little like a teleportation device where you could see location-tagged public posts from Instagram photos, tweets, and Facebook posts posted anywhere in the world.
