Nokia launches new multi-device, web-based location cloud service: It's Here

Nokia plans new 'multiple device, multiple operating systems' location cloud service It's Here

Nokia's about to elaborate on the next stage of its cartographic future and it's going to involve a new cloud-based service. Vaguely titled, Here, it'll tap into Nokia's map expertise and even better, work across multiple devices and operating systems -- CEO Stephen Elop, attending the event in San Francisco, also referenced recent purchase of Earthmine, a 3D mapping company that will help the company offer StreetView-style digital vistas.
