New Tumblr for iOS Brings Faster, Native Experience

Tumblr has launched a new version of its iOS app, bringing the version number to 3.2.

The app is now completely native, Tumblr claims, and it comes with a redesigned dashboard, bigger photos and faster post loading.

Other features of note include notification previews, making it easy to see which of your posts were liked, replied to or reblogged.

Finally, the update brings new blog screens, several new gestures and automatic GIF playback on the dashboard.

Despite some recent outages, Tumblr has been doing well lately, reaching the 20 billion monthly page views milestone in October, which makes it one of the top 20 most visited websites in the U.S.
