Hurricane Sandy Takes Down Huffington Post, Gawker, BuzzFeed


Readers looking for the latest updates on Hurricane Sandy Tuesday morning were disappointed to find some of the top news sites, including The Huffington Post, BuzzFeed and Gawker and its affiliated sites were themselves victims of Sandy.

In a statement on its Tumblr, BuzzFeed blamed DataGram, an ISP that serves the three sites, plus others. The Tumblr quotes a DataGram rep as saying Basement flooded, fuel pump off line - we got people working on it now. 5 feet of water now."
