Tech Companies, Defense Firms Join Forces to Fight Cyberattacks

The U.S. government keeps reminding us that a "cyber Pearl Harbor" could be closer than we imagine. With that in mind, a group of technology companies is teaming up with defense giants to research and address cybersecurity issues.

The consortium, called the Cybersecurity Research Alliance, was founded by several major tech companies, such as Intel and AMD, as well as RSA, a network security firm. The alliance is also spearheaded by defense behemoths Lockheed Martin and Honeywell.
