Obama and Romney Roast Each Other at Fundraiser Dinner

Barack Obama and Mitt Romney loosened up their collars a bit for a night of wisecracks and laughter at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Dinner, held Thursday in New York City.

The dinner is an annual fundraiser for the Alfred E. Smith Foundation, and is a routine campaign stop for presidential candidates on election years. It's a lighthearted event, where the candidates blow off some steam and joke around for an evening. Both candidates typically speak at the dinner for around 10 minutes.

The candidates poked fun at themselves, but didn't entirely put the campaign aside, either -- they directed plenty of quips at one another.
