Samsung Aims to Top PC Market with Windows 8 Devices

Samsung is serious about being a contender in the PC market. The company officially unveiled its line of Windows 8 PCs in the U.S. Monday evening, including tablets as well as touch-enabled laptops and all-in-one designs. With the engine of Windows 8, Samsung aims to land in the top 5 American PC makers by 2015.

You might wonder why the Korean electronics giant didnt aim higher, but their current goal is more realistic than lofty. Right now, it barely registers in market share. When Lenovo and Hewlett-Packard were duking it out over the number-one spot last week, Samsung was relegated to the Others label, below Acer, Asus and Dell.
