Boxee TV Brings Live TV, DVR and Netflix in One Box

Boxee announced its newest set-top box Tuesday, Boxee TV. Boxee TV is a new device that combines live broadcast TV, a cloud-based DVR system and Internet apps such as Netflix all in one device.

The box -- which will be available for $99 on Nov. 1 -- is Boxee's attempt at streamlining the TV viewing experience. The idea is to allow users to watch live TV -- using a built-in dual TV tuner (that works with unencrypted basic cable and antennas) -- and also access over-the-top (OTT) content all within the same interface.
