Though commercial retail is still a fairly new space in the 3D printing world, it's well on its way to becoming a more mainstream option. One of the first consumer 3D printing companies, Shapeways, expects to print millions of products in 2012.

As the technology to replicate products advances at a more affordable rate, the number of order-to-print shops will continue to increase. (That means more burritos, too.)
