Obama or Romney: Whose Website Is Faster?


Mitt Romney's website loads more than two seconds faster on average than Barack Obama's homepage, according to a new analysis.

Apica, a load testing and performance monitoring firm, pinged both websites once every half-hour throughout September from an office on the west coast of the United States. On average, MittRomney.com took only 2.47 seconds to load, while BarackObama.com needed 6.53 seconds.

Both sites are similarly structured, so the speed differential is likely due to one or both of two reasons: Romney's using a better hosting service and/or Obama's getting more traffic, slowing down his site.
