FoodSmart App Guides Consumers to Make Healthy, Delicious Choices


Pick up any health magazine, and you'll likely come across a guide to "great tasting, low-calorie foods."

Now, there's something similar in app form. Called "FoodSmart," the free iOS and Android app taps a "scientific-based social network" to help consumers make healthy and delicious choices.

Michael Segal, co-founder of FoodSmart developer wHealthy Solutions, tells Mashable that it combines the communal wisdom of food ratings -- similar to Yelp -- with nutritional advice to help consumers make better decisions while they're grocery shopping or about to eat something at home.
