Big Bird, Simpson Bowles Among Top Debate Google Searches


During Wednesday night's presidential debate, Google served as a go-to resource for people who wanted to know more about what the candidates were saying. What were the hot searches of the night?

Here are the top four "rising searches" -- those with the most dramatic increase in volume over a short period of time -- from Google.

Simpson-Bowles is the nickname given to a commission on fiscal stability and the plan generated by that commission, which was ultimately rejected. Dodd-Frank, meanwhile, is a set of reforms meant to strengthen the financial industry following the recession of 2008-2009.
