The Acer Iconia W700 comes with a cradle and keyboard, turning the Windows 8 tablet into more of a traditional PC. Of course, you can always slip it out for more casual use. It starts at $800.

The Acer Iconia W700 isn't much different from other Windows 8 tablets we've seen -- the 11.6-inch screen and Intel Core processor are pretty standard -- but it takes a different approach to the workstation. The W700 includes cradle that not only acts as a tablet stand but contains extra connectors as well.

Acer envisions the W700 doing double duty as both a workplace machine, where it'll reside in the cradle, as well as a kick-back consumption device. The cradle holds the tablet at a 70-degree angle for typical work scenarios (in portrait or landscape), but it can quickly shift to 20 degrees -- better for situation where touch input is more important. It has three USB ports.
