Fab Spends $1 Million to Test TV Ad Campaign


Fab gives a guy the magic touch in the first TV ad from the social shopping site.

The 60-second spot, from Arnold Worldwide, shows a guy who is able to transform all the items in his apartment from drab to fab to impress a date. As The New York Times reports, the ad is a test. The company is trying to determine whether TV will move the needle on sales and visits to the site. The site is putting $1 million behind the test, which will run in six markets: Palm Beach, Fla.; Baltimore; Denver; San Diego; Nashville; and Austin, Texas.
