Music Monday: Songs for Social Good

As U2 frontman Bono once said, "Music can change the world because it can change people." This weekend is the Social Good Summit, and this week for Music Monday we're celebrating the power of music to inspire change.

Perhaps the best-known charity single is 1985's "We Are the World," which brought together some of the biggest recording artists of the 80s including Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, Billy Joel, Tina Turner, Bruce Springsteen and Paul Simon to raise funds in support of famine relief in Africa. Two decades later, a new batch of contemporary pop stars released "We Are the World 25 for Haiti" to provide aid to victims of 2010's devastating earthquake in Haiti.
