If you were counting down the days until you could finally see the design of the new iPhone 5, you weren't alone. So too were all the case manufacturers. Last year when the iPhone 4 was upgraded to the 4S, the footprint remained the same, so the existing cases fit the new phone.

But the iPhone 5 is taller and slimmer, and that means your wallet is about to get a little slimmer, too. According to ABI Research, 75% of those who buy an iPhone will also buy a protective case for it.
