10. The Rise And Fall Of Welfare Reform


This ad focused on President Obama's dismantling of the welfare reform bill in 2012. The bill was signed into legislation in 1996 with widespread bipartisan support. The ad used statements from other Democrats -- like Obama's VP Joe Biden -- stating their support for the original bill to imply Obama is out of step with his fellow politicians and the country's needs. The ad was shared 47, 624 times.

Mitt Romney is set to formally accept the GOP nomination at the Republican National Convention Thursday night, but his presidential campaign has long been in the works. A key ingredient to that campaign -- like most presidential hopefuls -- has been the use of television ads.
