LinkedIn Staff in Empire State Building Unharmed in Shooting

There are many businesses housed inside the Empire State Building, near the location of a shooting that left several people wounded and at least two dead Friday morning. Among those businesses is LinkedIn, which alerted Twitter followers about two hours after the shooting that all staff in its Empire State Building office were "accounted for and safe."

During a live press conference at 11 a.m., New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said that two people, including the shooter, were dead. The other victim was the shooter's former co-worker. Nine more were wounded, but not fatally. The shooting took place at 9:03 A.M. in front of 10 West 33rd St.
