What's the most distinguishing factor of any font? Its characters.

Designer Matthew Olin pulled out intricate characteristics of popular fonts to recreate some of our favorite comic book superheroes.

"I often found it difficult to relate my passions (design, branding and visual communication in general) with people not directly involved in design," Olin says. "One day I realized that one common tie between the two 'worlds' existed in analogies hidden within our understanding of superheroes."

Relating typography to a superhero's characteristics is a great way to delight a broader audience beyond the designer-types.
