Click Pics to Book Hotels in Fotopedia Apps

Travel app maker Fotopedia and travel website Expedia have partnered for the first time to offer in-app hotel booking capabilities.

Fotopedia's catalog of 10 free travel apps house thousands of pictures, plus interactive maps, slideshows and travel planning tools for various regions of the world. Apps include Fotopedia National Parks, Above France, Dreams of Burma, and North Korea.

The most popular are Paris and Japan, which drive 25% of Fotopedia's traffic. The apps can be viewed on the iPad and iPhone. Fotopedia was launched in June 2009 by 5 former Apple employees.
