Dell Announces Larger, More Powerful XPS Laptops

Dell just added a couple of models to its higher-end XPS line of laptops, which kicked off earlier this year with the XPS 13 Ultrabook. Now that machine is complemented by the XPS 14 and 15, which bring larger screens and next-generation processors to the line.

These models are clearly aimed at customers who are willing to sacrifice some portability for performance. The designs are thicker than the MacBook Air-inspired XPS 13, though the XPS 14 is still an impressive 0.81 inch thin, making it an Ultrabook. The XPS 15 (shown above) goes a little thicker at 0.91 inch and a bulkier weight of almost 6 lbs.
