Pedobear Arrives at Sandusky Trial

Pedobear, an Internet meme that became popular through the imageboard 4chan, has arrived at the trial of Jerry Sandusky.

Pedobear -- a mash-up of the words "pedophilia" and "bear" -- is a depiction the Internet has used to mock and condemn pedophiles. It has commonly been mistaken by authorities as a mascot of men who prey on children.

Sandusky, the former assistant coach of the Pennsylvania State University football team, was arrested and charged with 52 counts of sexual abuse of young boys he met through his Second Mile children's charity during a 15-year period. Sandusky's defense rested its case Wednesday morning, without calling him to the stand.
